How do you feel about tatttoos? How much is too much? Do any of you guys have tattoos? If so, of what and what do they symbolize in your life?
I found this article of celebrity tattoos, interesting!

I'm pretty firmly in the anti-tatoo column.
Yeah me too! But not completely, I believe in meaningful tattoos and not a lot of them, maybe one or two, at the most, three.
I have four. I have one on the back of my neck (chinese symbol) and one on my right foot (dragon fly). I also have one on each of my lower arms (left and right) which are a spider and lizard. I like the tattoos but I do regret having the visible ones on my arms. I feel that this may be a problem when applying at law firms for a job as a legal assistant/paralegal. I also don't think that they really suit my personality anymore. I've changed since I got them a few years ago. I'm almost 25 (March!) and wiser. ![]()
at least you learned and know for the future Nicole! :-)
I have no problem with tattoos, I like them but I have to say to anyone thinking of getting one make sure you think it out and best bet to keep it hidable.
I have two tattoos, both are meaningful to me. One is on my shoulder and other on my back, they are both butterflies. I got one when I turned 18 and became an adult the other I got after I got divorced. Butterflies mean a change/transformation both I thought and still think are very fitting.
They may not represent you now, but did they at one time? I agree the visable ones might hurt you in the future that's is why I try to keep mine in places I can cover up
Tatoos are ok when you wear them in good taste
that's a nice tattoo Krystal! Is Selena your daughter's name?
I am an ink fanatic, I love them! I have one on my back of a rose with a dagger through it, one on my right forearm that has my daughters name and one on my left forarm with my sons name. I am a power to the ink person but also have the respect to keep them covered when need to, there are always long sleeved shirts out there.
You can get that wrecking balm ... its like a lotion that helps remove the tattoo - i think it does it by promoting the growth of new skin making the tattoo come to the surface faster, and there fore making it vanish. I know you can get it online, but can also get it at Walmart in the first aid aisle.
I think there is absolutely nothing wrong with them - as long as they are tasteful, and mean something to you.... While yes - Tinkerbell is awesome, so is Tigger - however, I would not get them tattooed on me. Maybe if I had a child who passed, then that could be a different story.
Personally. I plan to go into business for myself. Tattoos are artwork. And if you cannot look past my tattoos and see my skills and my talents - then you are missing out on something good.
If your going into a professional career- getting a full sleeve may not be wise unless you plan on wearing long sleeves all the time - which is what a previous supervisor had done.
I currently have 2 tattoos. The first one is the Chinese characters for COURAGE. I had my son at 17, then moved to Arizona, am not with the dad. And started school (at that time was a different degree/passion than now), and I think that I had a lot of courage to step out of my comfort zone to do. It was my very first! I got it in summer of 2007.
I also have the pink breast cancer ribbon on my left wrist with the word FIGHTER written in cursive. I am not a fighter of breast cancer - but believe that you should fight regardless. Do self checks, mammogram, etc. Got this in Oct 2010.
I do plan on getting more --- autism puzzle piece, my sons name in his cute 6 year old writing, and my last name (married name) on my right wrist. Im sure I will get more. I know I do want stars around the ribbon, and I also want to get stars and music notes ( music is my life ), and also get this tattoo i saw where its 2 music notes turned into a heart. Very pretty.
Sorry the pics arent good quality - it was taken from my blackberry LOL. The fighter one looks A LOT better in person lol
