I plan on graduating by July this year, it may not happen bc I'm due to have my son (my second child) in May so it may be a bit of a challenge but I'm up for it!
Thanks =] How many credits did you already have that carried over when you started this program? I only had 2 carry over =[ So I pretty much have to do my entire 4 years of high school over again. I'm just finishing up Biology & World History (on the final with Biology & the research project with World History) right now & have Fundamentals of Desktop Publishing next then Englsh 2. I'm doing the college prep correspondence program, what about yourself? I'm planning on graduating with honors & that should be totally doable being I have closed all of my courses out thus far with a 82% (math is not my strong suit, that was Algebra 1) or higher =] I'm graduating 3 years late so it means a lot to me to @ least make great grades.
I started out with 5 credits/completed courses...which is weird because I had 8 at the end of my freshman year...But I know P.E. doesn't count...so hmmm...
Anyways, I'm still on Biology and have Fundamentals coming.
My next course after Fundamentals is English II and [I think] Geometry.
I'm enrolled into the College Prep Correspondence and plan to graduate with honors as well ^_^;
For me, making the grades just makes me feel accomplished, because in middle school I was a C or D student, but once high school started, I was a A and B student (got a 4.0 and ended the year with a 3.5) so I wanna keep it up.
My GPA at the moment is actually 3.67 ^_^ So I hope to graduate with honors as well as a whole 4.0;
Congrats on the birth of your child, Bridgette. I am excited for you. Hopefully you were able to graduate. I had 6 courses transfer into the vocational healthcare high school diploma. I am starting the correspondance program (intro to ashworth high school). I am 28 years old. After this course, I will be half way through the program. I am planning to take the career diploma of medical office assisting. I graduated the 11th grade 20 of the 26 credits I needed for high school graduation but was told that I could not graduate from high school. That was 10 years ago. I then graduated with my Associate in Arts and Public Service two years ago but I could succeed in a four year university. I was academically expelled and placed on probation because I had a D+ GPA, but I have taken two quizzes so far and earned As on both high school quizzes. For the past year and a half, I have been the janitor at my local Burger King. I work there for four to six hours a week as needed. I also sold knives for Vector for 3 months which was terminated because they found out that I had an interview. I am hoping to regain myself confidence in my abilities, grow closer to God, regain my personality and pay off my student loans. I am hoping to graduate in March or April 2012 with my high school diploma, gain a better job that I will enjoy and marry my fiancee of three years, David Baroody. Best wishes!
I would like to graduate by the end of this year; however, with me still having so many classes left plus im taking classes at a junior college i dont know if ill be done by the end of this year. That is my goal and if i need to modify or change it then I will
But if I can do a course per month + squeeze in the electives like Fundamentals of Desktop Publishing, Spanish I & II, and Writing for College (<~maybe I might change this one) in with another one of my courses per month...
Then I should be able to graduate by the end of this year :]
I am setting a goal for myself to graduate April 2012. Being a mother of three it gets pretty busy over here. I take care of my kids and make sure they get everything before opening up my books.
It's good that being a mother comes before everything else =]
I think that's how it should be.
No child should be neglected by their parents.
In fact, I have too many friends who grew up with parents that were barely there throughout their lives. :/
I mean, I know that sometimes work might interfere with all the quality time a parent could have with their child, but that doesn't mean that working should be the reason that a parent has absolutely NO RELATIONSHIP with their child.
Yeah i totally agree. My full time job is right here at home! I set a full day schedule and am still getting use to it. Besides working on getting my high school diploma , i'm enrolled into paralegal studies career program. Once i finish my paralegal studies program ill be enrolling into forensic science career diploma program. When i graduate from high school ill be enrolling with ashworth to get my bachelors in criminal justice. So yeah , i got all my goals set.
I Plan to be finished by June of this year. I'll finally be able to go to the graduation ceremony and start college. I think being a month away from 22 has me feeling that antsy feeling to really start my life. I mean I adore my family but I'm at that point where I want to see what I'm capapble of on my own ya know? Anyway. 7 courses left and 2 are half classes so hopefully I'll meet my goal.
i am also in college prep, i want to graduate by the end of this year, i should have been done already but when i first enrolled in ashworth i goofed off, so far i have completed 12 courses and have 10 more to do so its going to be a pretty long run unless i do a course or 2 per month, but i dont want to rush it because i want an excellent gpa but yeah i want to be done by the end of this year.
my goal is to finish by my birthday! september 16th. I hope I can do it but I am in college prep and on english 1. I have a long way to go and am stuck in english. But I have confidence I will get through it.
i have two courses left. I wish i could get them both done tomorrow, but im stuck waiting on shipments!! they could not come fast enough! my goal is 3 weeks.
Still waiting on my last two algebra assignments to be graded (hoping I passed the course, checking the dropbox every hour or so lol), I just began my last course World Lit tonight and should be done by April or May and I just enrolled into the career diploma of Online Business Management last night. Debating if I want to take the Marketing Communications career course with it and Next year's plans are to enroll into eBusiness Bachelors degree
I would like to and need to finish by the end of May so I can start Reserve School for the Sheriff Department down here where I live since I have a job with them as soon I finish...I have 11 classes to go so I think I can do it! Good luck to everyone!
Hope everything goes well with each and every single one ,and couples ..of you,lol , ... I'm not really planning on how long it's going take for me to graduate, i just know that i want to learn as much as possible and asap.....
I am currently enrolled in the college prep correspondance program. I am in the process of finishing my English II essays and about to start my American History course. Im hoping to be finished with school by the end of the year but am aiming for October at the latest. My motivation right now is that I JUST figured out what I want to do with my life and I can only start my program when I get my diploma. My biggest problem is writing my essays for lit, the number of essays Im up to is overwhelming! Ugh. But hopefully Ill get it done soon!!
Well, my career program wont really involve essay writing! Once I get my diploma, Im signing up to take a dog obediance trainer course and become a dog trainer! Its what I want to do! So, I dont know how much essay writing Ill really be doing! Most of it will be my own hands on training Ill have to put into affect with animals!
From what I've read, if you are done before 6 months, you have to wait the rest of the 6 months to get your deploma. I've been doing an Associates degree for 2.5 and amost half way done, so plan on graduating in another 3ish months.
Just got my last assignment graded of my very last class. Just paid my last tuition payment this morning. They said Congrats we will mail your diploma and transcripts tomorrow. I am sooo happy to be done!!!! College enrollment in July here I come!!! Wooohooo!!!
they usually give about 24 mnths to complete your courses but remember everyones pace is diffrent and so you could take less time or you may need more time depending on how well you manage your study time. good luck with your courses and enjoy them take your time it will benifit you more in the long run
i am almost there I have courses left... I want to have my diploma by the first of the new year. (just keep swimming, just keep swimming,....) hey dinner is almost done and then time to study. Yes Go Me and every one else out there taking this course!
I am hoping to be done by the end of next month=] I had 6 credits transfer over. I am in my last two classes. they are both Lit. && I suck at Lit. But my lowest grade so far is a 84 so I am planning on staying above that=]
I am hoping to finish my classes by March 31 so I meet the deadline for the graduation ceremony this summer. I'm conserned that I wont be able to do it in time because without deadlines its hard for me to get the motivation to do it. I currently have a paper and a final exam in Marine Science to do, I've gotten through the first unit in my British lit class and than I have 5 other classes to complete.
Can't wait!!
