Hi, I'm the instructor for the Paralegal courses at Ashworth College. I hope all of you are enjoying your courses, and please post any questions or comments you have for me. Thanks!
Professor Nicole
Hello Professor
I am currently in the high school courses now and thinking of taking the Paralegal courses here when Im done. Can you give me an idea of what it will be like and what I can expect?
Hello, besaesa! Congratulations on looking ahead and making plans for your future. If you are detail-oriented and organized, I think you will very much enjoy the paralegal field. There are a lot of areas also, such as family law, real estate, bankruptcy, foreclosure, corporate, litigation, etc. Do any of those appeal to you?
Hi Professor Nicole! Family law definitely appeals to me as I feel child custody laws are too biased sometimes. I also love to argue and debate. I have a question. Will there be a paralegal course for bachelors offered at Ashworth? I want to go straight to my bachelors after this, and I know they have criminal justice but I really want to take the paralegal course offered here. What do you recommend that I do?
Hi Professor House,
I was a foster child so family law is what I am interested in. I would love to be able to work with children and women. Would love to be able to help out people that are in the same situations that I was in once upon a time. I just finished the intro to buss and waiting on the next shipment to arrive.
Hello, Jeanette! So nice to meet you. It sounds like you have the personal experience and emotional sensitivity that will most definitely benefit others.
Besaesa, I wish I could answer your question about what you should do! It depends on a lot of factors. At Ashworth, there's an associate-degree program in Paralegal Studies.
The most successful paralegals I've worked with have been organized and willing to help and work hard. In my opinion, those traits--along with a positive attitude--will contribute to success in ANY field!
Well hello Professor House!!!
It's very nice to meet you! My name is Peggy and I'm in the fourth semester of the Associate of Science in aralegal program. I have to say that it's a very interesting and informative program.
I wanted to go into Family Law or Criminal Law. It would be interesting if Ashworth offered a
bachelors in paralegal program in the future. I would definately sign up for that.
Anyhow, great to meet you. On to the books. lol
Hello, Peggy! Great to meet you, too!
Nice to meet you Professor House! I am so looking forward to this program. ![]()

Hi, Faith! I'm happy to meet you! How exciting that you have worked as a paralegal for seven years. I look forward to your input. Ahhh, Jamaica! So beautiful.
Hello Professor House, My name is Tracy , I just enrolled for class last week. I'm awaiting my first set of text books. I have been working in litigation sup[port for about 10 years. I have been employed with a rather larger law firm in North Carolina for 14 years now. I thought it was due time I received my credentials. I'm exciting to start class.
Hello, Tracy! Nice to meet you. Wow ... litigation support. With your ten years of experience, you have a lot of information for other students who might want to ask you questions about that area!
I want everyone to know that I'm about to start a project here at Ashworth so I may not be able to respond to your posts. I'll be looking in now and then, and I wish you the best of luck in your studies. I know that each of you will do a great job!
