You have to research colleges in your state (if you wanna stay in your state) or other states that have these majors/minors. You can apply to the college since you have a diploma but contact the admissions department and let them know your situation.

I might just go there and get my criminal justice degree but im not sure yet... I need to research and weigh out all of my options..

I just might consider staying here the only problem for me is if i stay at Ashworth they dont have financial aid for me to pay it off. I can barely pay for the high school diploma program... Ive been searching for a job for a while and will continue to search

You can go to an outside college or Ashworth, your choice.

You can't force a school to accept you. You'll just have to try and talk to them and let them know about your situation. The number one rule is to always show respect, unless they aren't respecting you. You can also have Ashworth contact them if there are any problems.

Well, I know that there are colleges/universities that don't accept the GED.

However, they most definitely should accept your high school diploma from Ashworth because our school is accredited.

And because you've mentioned that the college you are speaking of is also accredited by SACS, I've come to the assumption that they will more than likely accept the Ashworth high school diploma.

Just browse their site some more and gather your information.

Then contact the college's admissions office via e-mail or phone (some even have Live Chat services) and inquire about how and if the school will acknowledge your diploma.

From what I've heard UGA and Emory are very good universities, supposedly some of the top-ranked in GA.

And because I'm a huge advocate for education as a whole, I definitely encourage you to pursue your education at one of these universities when you're ready =]

Lastly, while I do believe that prayers help, I also believe that there is a very big difference between praying and wishing.

When you pray, you need to meet Him half-way. God doesn't always necessarily give us what we ask for, but most of the time, gives us the opportunity to get there.

And I will say that I personally believe that Ashworth is one of your opportunities to get to where you wanna be =]

That's what I figured!! Only little Community Colleges and Tech schools (i.e Everest, University of Phoenix, MedVance etc..) seem like the only one's excepting this JMHS Diploma, everybody else on here is just talking and assuming. NO one on here is actually answering the question. Have you actually been ACCEPTED to a 4yr college with the James Madison High School Diploma and if so name them???

I'm from Houston, Tx and I'm having a hard time finding schools that accept this schools diploma even so with the SACS Accreditation. Not even Remington College in Houston accepts it SMH

Alot of Colleges are cracking down and not accepting this JMHS Diploma, no matter how much everybody and the Admin on here swear up and down that this school is accepted worldwide, it is NOT.. Your best bet is too get your GED. You might get lucky to get in a College with the JMHS Diploma, but so far i'm not having any luck!
