Topiaries are always fun to see and very creative but are they necessary? Some, like the Disney Topiary Festival, are fun for horticulturists, guests, and photographers alike and on sweeping grounds of a manor or estate they look almost regal. Occasionally you will see them in public areas like Central Park in NYC just for fun. But the average person does not have a plant statue of a poodle in their yard.
Topiaries can also be shaped plants that are not in an eccentric design which many people have on their entry way or done to their hedges. But when it comes to the big, ostentatious topiaries, are they art or a waste of space?
