Religious vs Non-Religious Education

Well this thread is the thread that never dies. It goes away for a few weeks and then someone responds.

In general, I've found out that we are overly passionate in our belief that religion should stay out of school OR that religion is a fundamental part of education. But since there are many different faiths and non-faiths represented at Ashworth it would be almost impossible to incoporate enough or a small enough amount of religion into this EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION, to make EVERYONE happy.

So I've edited this thread. The debate is semi over. Everyone is welcome to keep posting if they want. I did this thread months ago when I was hot under the collar.

I am writing my first paper for the initial course "Achieving Academic Excellence". I have chosen the topic of raising a special needs child, as I am a mother to a special needs child. However, there is so much information that I have found doing my research. I am still very uncomfortable with the works cited part of the paper. How do I include the citations in the paper and at the end. I have looked at the APA website and now just feel more confused. I have been out of school for 15 years and much has changed. Just feeling a little overwhelmed. I really want to do well. This means a lot to me. I will succeed, just want a little guidance from others who understand and have been there.

Associates in Psychology

I am currently doing my Bachelor's in Early Childhood, but is getting way too boring, maybe because I already did the Associate as well.

So, what do you think about the Associate Program in Psychology? I am thinking about switching.

Is Religion A Deal Breaker In Relationship.

I believe there is a Supreme Being, and although I have not committed myself to one Religion or church, I respect the views, backgrounds, and upbringings of everyone. I grew up in a house hold of Catholics, but a lot of my extends family members are Seven Day Adventists, Baptist, Muslim, or Christian. I was told to never argue over religion and although everyone may have different views on who they believe in, it is there right and it needs to be respected.

And even though I respect this right, I can not help to say if I am to marry some day (hopefully sooner than later), he must believe in the higher power. if I bring children into this world, it is important to me that they also believe in the same beliefs that I believe in. I sometimes wonder, if this is a realistic expectation to ask for when dating?
