With the Penn State child sexual abuse scandal still rocking headlines, one children's book is making waves on its own. Fred the Fox Shouts No stresses the importance of talking to your children about what is, and is not, appropriate conduct. According to the website, Fred the fox helps parents and caregivers introduce the concepts of “private parts” and safety with people we know. Through open communication with the people that love him most, Fred learns he has a strong voice inside and how to use it.
The author said, ""I wanted to give parents a specific script they could use to talk about the subject with their children, so they could do it in a way that would be engaging and not frightening."
The book has been said to be appropriate for ages three and up.
