Ashworth College is great for non-traditional students like me. I went to other schools before trying to finish a bachelors. People say that students do not get the same education as a traditional school. But, it depends on the student, like everything else. Ashworth has a different system. My goal was to finish my degree and to also gain work experience at the same time. I was able to work full time, and also go to school full time. Ashworth emphasizes concepts, applications, and definitions just like a brick/mortar school. I was able to learn the material in a course, and apply to everyday life.

I believe employers prefer work experience over education, all things being equal. That doesn't mean you don't need a college degree. the material is comprehensive, and had the application principals to help with real world jobs. it was such a wonderful experience for me, that I went ahead and enrolled in the MBA in International Business. I'm really excited!

If I have to point out a negative, it would be that there are a few classes I didnt like. They were similar to other courses from other schools, kind of repetitive.

If you want to work and go to school, Ashworth College is a great find.

Let me say that Ashworth College is a great School. I completed my Career Diploma in Forensic Science in June 2011, and I have already been transferred to the forensics lab of the Jamaican Police Force here in Kingston. I am also finishing my first semester of my A.S in Security Management, and its going very well so far. The DETC accreditation is very much recognized here in Jamaica, so I intend to do my B.S in Criminal Justice with Ashworth as well. I would recommend it to someone who is look for an affordable, accredited and self paced online studies program.

I enrolled to Ashworth College a year ago. I am very happy with the school. I transferred from a major university because they did not offer enough online classes. I have found Ashworth to be a wonderful school for those who love learning online, and do not need the classroom environment to succeed. For those of you who need a little more time and attention you can easily find that in the Ashworth community. The community mentors are experienced educators who will work with you to ensure your success. There is also great student support.

If you are serious about learning, Ashworth is the way to go.

I do agree that some of the assignments, and the objective exams aren’t great. The same companies provide services to other online schools, but the school utilizes wonderful training resources. My only recommendation would be offering more grants and scholarships to existing undergrad students.

Overall, my experience thus far has been great, and I would suggest that you give Ashworth a try!

Firstly, for anybody who is interested in online medical office assisting, know in advance that it is for FRONT OFFICE medical assisting, not back office. Through the course you will learn some back office procedures, but because this is not a hands on course, you only are able to really get the "feel" of the front office part of medical assisting (even though they do not state it until you receive the course materials). You also get a feel of medical billing and coding specialization too.

I started the program a few months ago, and so far aside from what was just said, I REALLY like it. The course material is not too easy, and not too tricky, it is set up so it is easy and enjoyable to read, and is just all around set up very well. It is most definitely only for people who have the willpower and determination to teach themselves, as you can't get instruction from a teacher all the time. The Ashworth forum REALLY helps in this situation if you need help. So far I have had more success getting my questions answered there quicker than emailing the college themselves.

Overall, distance education from them has its pros and cons, but I totally would recommend this college to anybody who wants to get into distance education. I love Ashworth so far!

I have been taking classes at Ashworth for a long time, I have an Associate and am working toward a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice. I have never had a problem with them, I love this school.

Before you go online to talk bad about a school please make sure you haven't created the problems you are talking about. You can't blame someone else for your lack of miss understanding.I plan to get my Masters from Ashworth College and feel that I have gotten a great education.

After completing my Associates in Paralegal Studies in October 2010 I was and still am overjoyed with my accomplishment, it has taken me way to long to do it but its done and I am even more eager to learn. That is why I re-enrolled to Ashworth for another Associates in Business Management which I hope to complete by the end of January. I plan to re-enroll again for Bachelors Degree.

The Staff at Ashworth (especially Danny & Steph) has helped make my experience so worth while with there patience/understanding but especially with the knowledge. They seem to love what they do and this shows everytime.

Thank You! Thank You!

I enrolled in James Madison High School which Ashworth helped me work through the challenge. I had a lot to overcome. They are simply great. On August 15, 2012, I finally was able to graduate from their high school program. This is an accomplishment I will always be proud of. If anyone tells you Ashworth doesn't care...don't believe them!

If it weren't for James Madison...I wouldn't have been able to grab my second chance at life. Believe me they had their hands full encouragement, tutoring, amongst so much more. This experience was definitely a unique one and I am proud to say...I love them as part of my family! Give them a chance to let you experience the wonders of James Madison Online High School.

I am a 41 year old stay-at-home and homeschool Mom.  I dropped out of college after my 1st year when I was only 18, because I "fell in love"!  LOL  Although I am glad that I was able to stay at home with my 2 children, I have always regretted the fact that I did not complete my college education.  Now, because we are a family of 4 living on a single income, it has been difficult to find a way to go back to school, let alone make ends meet.  After a lot of research, I chose Ashworth because of the affordability, flexibility, and support from both the staff and community.  I also took into consideration the reputation and the many choices available.  I am currently taking the Pharmacy Tech career program, but plan on continuing with the Nutrition career program and then eventually completing my associates and/or bachelors degree with the new General Studies program that is now offered.  I also intend to enroll my homeschooled daughter in the high school program in another month or 2.

Thank you Ashworth!
