I am currently enrolled in the online Bachelors Degree in Business Administration program with Ashworth College and I think it's awesome! The online campus is super easy to navigate and offers extremely helpful tools.

You miss out on the benefits of group study halls and actually seeing physical demonstrations.

The courses are challenging and engaging which is what you want in an online school. The tuition costs are a lot less when I researched other schools like DeVry and University of Phoenix. The instructors of the courses are quick to answer any questions. There is always someone available when I need a problem solved. A good tip is to never hesitate to ask questions. The academic standards are up to par with a lot of other schools. This is also an accredited school which is a definite plus!

My Experience with Ashworth

Posted by westlife Nov 26, 2012

For a very long time I have been seeking for an opportunity to further my education that is affordable and won't be a strain. Well after 3 years of searching I came accross Ashworth College through EFA. Ashworth is like a God sent. They provided me an opportunity to pursue my bachelors degree without having to travel and to remain employed. So far it has a been wonderful learning experience through Ashworth, due to their flexibility unlike other schools which can be very demanding. This school has helped keep my dream alive and I am very thankful for that. Itherefore would encourage anyone who is thinking of college to please give Ashworth a chance so that they can also give you a chance to fullfil your dreams.

I’ve heard of many positive and a few negative posts on Ashworth. Being with Ashworth myself for a while, I understand why most people are going through issues. I think people are lazy sometimes; you have to EARN a good grade. You can’t just write silly sentences with improper grammar and get a high GPA. College does not work that way. They are wrong in thinking that is acceptable, online college is not supposed to be a walk in the park. Most negative comments are from students who don’t take responsibly for their efforts.

I really enjoy pursing my Bachelors in Business degree online; I’m a very independent person and need my own process. All in all, if you put in the time you will be fine. I’m a military student that uses VA benefits, and the military department is great.  The progress I’ve made so far has already helped me advance my military career, so it’s definitely worth it. Thanks AC. God bless the USA!

I'm finishing up my Associates in Accounting at Ashworth, and it’s been a positive experience so far. I like all kinds of classes, but I get more out of online study. All of my lessons have been educational, unlike the ones I took on campus where nobody cared about you. Academic tutors are easy to find in the community study hall. The student portal shows costs in detail, which makes it really easy to follow. I've learned a great deal about accounting, and I’m already working in the accounting field. I’ve made the dean's List with a 3.4 GPA. I plan to get a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting once Ashworth offers it, and then get a CPA license from my state.

Before, I felt like going back to school was impossible, because I work and have kids.  Now I'm very proud of myself, and glad I decided to give college another shot.

Thanks so much Ashworth for a great opportunity!

I started my online classes at Ashworth College in March. I'm single, and a mom of twin boys. I signed up at Ashworth because it is an accredited school, and they let me work at my pace. Being that Ashworth is an accredited school my degree will be valid everywhere. The enrollment process was really easy, and I didn't feel like I got lost in the shuffle. Everything is personal, I feel connected. The online programs are easy to navigate through, and the tutors are helpful when I need them. I love my classes, and can complete the work in a timely manner, sometimes (twins). I couldn't attend a campus school, because working full time as a manager at Taco Bell, and taking care of my boys is too stressful. Online class is only way to go for me. Ashworth College offers lots of degree programs, but I choose to get my Bachelors in Business Administration. Once I finish, the Regional Manager said I will qualify to move up the chain to bigger and better things.

Ashworth College is great for non-traditional students like me. I went to other schools before trying to finish a bachelors. People say that students do not get the same education as a traditional school. But, it depends on the student, like everything else. Ashworth has a different system. My goal was to finish my degree and to also gain work experience at the same time. I was able to work full time, and also go to school full time. Ashworth emphasizes concepts, applications, and definitions just like a brick/mortar school. I was able to learn the material in a course, and apply to everyday life.

I believe employers prefer work experience over education, all things being equal. That doesn't mean you don't need a college degree. the material is comprehensive, and had the application principals to help with real world jobs. it was such a wonderful experience for me, that I went ahead and enrolled in the MBA in International Business. I'm really excited!

If I have to point out a negative, it would be that there are a few classes I didnt like. They were similar to other courses from other schools, kind of repetitive.

If you want to work and go to school, Ashworth College is a great find.

To say Ashworth is a perfect school isn't true, but what school is? My experiences have been great so far though. Just finished the AA in General Business, and I feel the classes were very challenging and helpful. If you are not prepared, you not get any work done, since its self paced.

I had an issue with a professor about grading delays, but we worked it out. As far as student services, sometimes they take a long time, but I will say they want you to succeed. I had a hard time with personal stuff at the time, and was about to quit. I would have wasted a lot of hard work, but my fellow students in the Ashworth Community encouraged me to stick it out. They made some good points, so I stayed and finished. Good for me!

I've been to University of Phoenix, but I paid too much for wasted time, and their process didn't make sense. Atleast with Ashworth College, when I put in the work, I learned a lot of valuble information about business. I recommend Ashworth, because they have something for everyone who is serious about their education.

Let me say that Ashworth College is a great School. I completed my Career Diploma in Forensic Science in June 2011, and I have already been transferred to the forensics lab of the Jamaican Police Force here in Kingston. I am also finishing my first semester of my A.S in Security Management, and its going very well so far. The DETC accreditation is very much recognized here in Jamaica, so I intend to do my B.S in Criminal Justice with Ashworth as well. I would recommend it to someone who is look for an affordable, accredited and self paced online studies program.

Ashworth College Awesome School! Hi, my name is Rachel! I am currently attending Ashworth College to get my Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies. I am in my 5th term and have a GPA of 3.3. I dropped out but got my GED. Ashworth was one of the many online schools I did research on. The only problem I had with Ashworth was trying to call in. However, I could not have chosen better school to get my degree. I am a mother of 3 and work 40 hours per week. Ashworth is very flexible,  helpful, and understanding about the many issues I have had. My professors are cool, and told me to keep them posted and submit assignments when my problems are taken care of. Pretty much everything at Ashworth is great. The courses are easy at first, but then get increasing more difficult. This type of education is for people who are self motivated, and very disciplined. Thanks for reading this, and I hope it was very helpful. I would recommend this school to anyone.

I have been very pleased with Ashworth College. Their Psychology program was similar to the one I was enrolled in a few years ago at a different university, so it was easy to transfer my credits. I especially like that there are no group projects. Group projects worked at my other university when I was attending classes and the members were local. I tried their online program and did not find the group experience to be as beneficial. I am finishing up my fifth class this week at Ashworth in my A.S. in Psychology, and getting ready for the next class. Things are going well so far and I don't have any complaints with communications or anyone else I've had to contact. I highly recommend Ashworth to anyone seeking a quality education on their own terms.

I wanted to add information about this major. I just graduated with my BA in Early Childhood Education from Ashworth! I am currently applying what I learned in a large Child Development Center as a Director. After graduating I was prepared to run the entire center, and use the knowledge to help the teachers run their classes. Ashworth College is a great school that prepared me well for success. I especially found support from the Early Childhood education community group, friends, and my close family. The support, guidance and knowledge I gained from Ashworth were excellent. I would recommend the school to anyone looking to get their bachelors in education online.

I just completed my AA in Business Administration and am currently enrolled in the BA Criminal Justice program at Ashworth College. As a law enforcement professional and Army Guard soldier, I was concerned with having the time to go to school. Not to mention, getting a quality education online. My mother graduated from Ashworth with her BA in management and recommended the school to me.

I have found the entire Ashworth experience to be wonderful. Enrollment, military advisors have all been prompt  when dealing with my issues. The flexibility of the online delivery eased me being able to manage all of my time commitments. As with any organization, there will be an instructor or two that a person just does not care for, however that is not indicative of the institution. I have found the coursework challenging and insightful, as well being able to utilize real world scenarios to apply the concepts being presented. I am extremely happy with Ashworth and would recommend it to anyone, especially adult learners. With Asworth being nationally accredited, a degree from them is definitely worth it.

I enrolled to Ashworth College a year ago. I am very happy with the school. I transferred from a major university because they did not offer enough online classes. I have found Ashworth to be a wonderful school for those who love learning online, and do not need the classroom environment to succeed. For those of you who need a little more time and attention you can easily find that in the Ashworth community. The community mentors are experienced educators who will work with you to ensure your success. There is also great student support.

If you are serious about learning, Ashworth is the way to go.

I do agree that some of the assignments, and the objective exams aren’t great. The same companies provide services to other online schools, but the school utilizes wonderful training resources. My only recommendation would be offering more grants and scholarships to existing undergrad students.

Overall, my experience thus far has been great, and I would suggest that you give Ashworth a try!

I found this program to be straightforward, and easy to navigate. Ashworth College was one of the pioneers of web-based instruction, and one of the few to now offer Masters Degrees in Business. I found them responsive to the unique needs of deployed military. The instructors were without exception very accessible and responsive despite the distance learning environment. Ashworth is military friendly and offers discounts/scholarships to those both retired and in active duty. The on-line library provides access to numerous scholarly paper/journal archives. I found the course material to be well organized, and offered an excellent opportunity to socialize with fellow students in the community.
